The 6th Technology Summit and Technology Platform organised by CII in Hyderabad on 14-15 November 2000 with France as the Partner Country and Andhra Pradesh as the Partner State was a big success.

The Summit focussed on 3 special areas through concurrent seminars:

The 60 member strong French delegation comprising Industry, Government, R&D institutions was led by Mr.Bruno Duriex, Chairman of the National Committee for Foreign Trade & Former Minister for Foreign Trade,Finance.

Over 30 Indian and French organisations showcased their technologies in the exhibition Technology Platform.
The French organisations at the exhibition included: The Centre National D-Etudes Spatiales (CNES), Suez Lyonnaise Des Eaux, CFME ACTIM, Schneider Electric Group, European Aerospace and Defence System, Indo-French Technical Association, Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research, Electricite’ De France, MGE Asia Pte Ltd., Alcatel Group, Alstom Limited, Sema Group Software India Pvt. Ltd., etc.

The key Indian organisations included : Technology Development Board, Indian Space Research Organisation, Andhra Pradesh Technology development & Promotion Centre, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, National Institute of Design, ICICI Knowledge Park, etc.

The Summit was inaugurated by Mr.N.Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

More than 500 participants including delegates/invitees/faculty/partner country delegation/exhibitors took part in the two-day proceedings.
